NACRE /neɪkər/

[ABOUT]

NACRE is a mineral sunscreen. The name comes from mother-of-pearl, the iridescent layer a shell builds to protect what lies inside. The brand treats sun protection as part of the look rather than a chore: a light-reflecting veil that leaves skin luminous and cool, untouched by the sun.

[TASK]

Build the brand from scratch: name, logo, typography, graphic system and campaign visuals. Then show it living across editorial spreads, social media and out-of-home.

[CONCEPT]

Beauty as armour. Shine that protects. NACRE is for those who don’t chase a tan. They choose to stay pearl. The identity plays on the line between what we show and what we keep safe. Every headline casts a soft offset shadow, a second layer behind the surface, like skin behind a veil. A single pearl hides inside the C of the logo, and pearl dots run through the whole system.

A cool, opalescent palette, a wide classical serif and a technical mono give the brand its calm with a cold edge.
